Depression
The situation when one feels low.
Causes:
- Hormonal imbalance
- A life event, such as death, heartbreak, etc...
- Prolonged grief can be the cause of depression .
Symptoms:
- Loneliness, sadness, guilty or anger.
- Crying often without any reason.
- Not doing things that one used to love doing.
- Change in sleep pattern.
- Feeling tired. Loss of energy and motivation.
- Cannot focus.
- Unexplained pains and body aches.
- Thoughts of suicide, crime, violence.
Treatment:
- Everyone is different. First figure out what is bothering you.
- Call for help from doctors and ones who love you.
- Attend to depression as soon as possible.
- Eat well. Good health keeps depression away.
- Release stress in whatever way possible. Relax and sleep well.
- Take time out and go for a vacation.
- Antidepressants can help but proper medical supervision is required if not can lead to dependence and addiction.
