Ear wax accumulation

Ear wax is formed to trap dust and other particles from entering the ear. Ear wax is formed daily and it often clears by itself. However, at times it requires to be cleaned.

Symptoms:

  • If it accumulates it may cause hearing impairment
  • Noises in the ear
  • Ear ache
  • Sensation of ear being blocked

Self treatment:

Normally ear drops are used to soften the wax so that it comes out.

Note:

  • Never insert any hard object inside the ear very deep. Normally the wax is in the beginning and do not require to go in deep.
  • If ever there is pain after cleaning the wax, consult the doctor immediately. You might have injured the eardrum or some delicate skin inside the ear.
