Nappy rash
Skin sensitivity because of the nappy. This is very commonly observed. Some babies are very prone to it but some are not.
Symptoms:
Rashes appear under the nappy.
Causes:
Not really known.
Cure:
- The best cure is to let it air. It is a good idea to let the baby be without a nappy for an hour a day.
- Change nappies very frequently.
- Wash the bottom when you change the nappy.
- Some creams are used if very sensitive skin. This should be under a doctor's observation.
Note:
- If the baby gets a temperature call the doctor immediately.
- Swelling due to nappy rash is rare. It happens when there are some other infections as well. Take medical help immediately.
