5 years journey - Conclusion
Last few years we have seen an unprecedented accumulation of health and medicine related information on the web. It is overwhelming to see how digital information technology has restructured the way information is communicated. This proliferating wealth of advancing knowledge and ever increasing complexity of health information has magnified the inadequacy of consumer knowledge. We are trying to bridge this gap.
As information providers, we are faced with some big and difficult challenges ahead: a challenge of reinventing ways of training our readers, reformatting the way we provide information, and prioritizing on what is more urgent and needs more attention.
In the coming years many new initiatives will be launched, many new ideas will be implemented, but we will not change one thing - our purpose of existence and the goal to empower the families and children with awareness of health and medical know-how. Our leading edge lies in the way we present medical and health related information; it is in the simplest language possible, not neglecting the precision required to present the subject.
When I started this organization, I was not matured enough to understand what a monumental task I am taking charge of. At various moments during this journey I was very scared and was often tempted to quit. The unwavering support from our visitors and the incessant strife by the Medhospital Team kept me going. The strength of the Medhospital team is in its members; we are all from very diverse backgrounds and belong to a broad range of age groups. Each of us has our unique strengths, and when put together, we all work as one.
Today after five years of experience, we are in a better position to develop and give shape to new ideas and create new strategies for our organizational functioning. It is time for us to bring coherence, maturity and efficiency to what we do. It is also time to disseminate the outcomes of our various projects so as to get more attention in these areas from others in the field. These are probably the most important and compelling reasons why I wrote this report.
To me as the founder member, it was of immense pleasure and heart filling experience to walk through these achievements of past years. I believe that Medhospital Foundation is here to stay for a very long time and achieve even more.
