Chigong

Basics:

Chigong is also a part of Chinese health care system. It involves, focus on the body, postures and slow movements, and breathing techniques.

This word is derived from Qi and Kung (accomplishment) which together means the accomplishment of health and cultivation of energy.

The whole art is based on concentrating on the points that have ailment in the body and channeling Qi there for speedy healing and recovery. It also reduces stress, increases stamina, and enhances the body functions such as the respiratory, digestive, circulatory, and lymphatic functions.

It has many other forms. Some can be classified as martial art too such as Tai chi and Kang fu.
