Human Body Project
To make the optimum use of available medical help, consumers should be well informed and aware of why and what for they need the help in the first place. For this, basic knowledge of their body and how it grows, functions, and ages, is essential.
The Human Body Project was adopted in 2005 to provide information on the structure of our body, what is it made of, and how it functions. We sought for core initiatives that would guide us to provide such information in the simplest language possible and yet preserving the precision required for good understanding. It includes the following initiatives:
- To represent the construction of our body
- To provide a map of the interlinked physiological processes so as to make the understanding easier
- To bring awareness of the process of growth, development, and ageing
- Inventing ways to provide medical information regarding diseases and concerns at different stages of life so as to create an information structure that ensures easy and age appropriate access and the experience of the information seeker more worthwhile and pleasurable.
