Safer World Project
In today's modern world, we have a lot of added worries compared to yesteryears. In spite of growing awareness of safety measures there is a growing number of unintended accidents and death cases all around the world. Recent years have seen a lot of unpredicted natural disasters. Terrorism and global politics has changed the world in an unpreconceivable way.
Along with these worries comes a lot of responsibilities on all of us: to protect ourselves as well as our dear ones and to create a safer environment for all others around us. The work of the field of medicine is to provide you help and comfort during any health problem or conditions. However, because we have better help available to day, we cannot be careless thinking that medicines are available anyway. Prevention is any day better than cure.
The Safer World Project was adopted to provide information on various emergency preparedness activities and drafting consolidated guidelines and reference cards for quick response. This project supports a wide variety of work with the purpose of creating disaster awareness and preparedness. This initiative works in the following directions:
- Preparedness to unintended accidents and to sudden and unexpected health conditions
- Preparedness to natural disasters
- Preparedness to threats and man created disasters
