Puberty
It is the phase when both boys and girls mature into adults. Girls start puberty at around 9-13 while boys around 10-16 years.
Changes:
- In case of girls, her breasts will grow. This is usually the first change.
- Her period (menstrual cycle) will start.
- In case of women, hair will grow in the pubic area (the area between her legs) and under her arms.
- Skin can be oilier. She may have pimples (acne).
- In boys, hair will grow under his arms, on his face, on his legs, and in his pubic area (the area between his legs).
- His penis and testicles (balls) will grow.
- His voice will deepen. His shoulders will widen.
- Body odor starts.
- Both grow taller faster.
