| TEENSpeak is a bi-monthly column managed by Shermyn and Sherlyn, teenagers writing about issues that concern them most. Their write-ups consist of an original blend of information obtained from focus groups and interviews with their peers. |

| Mission Statement |

| Our motivation for penning this column lies in our recognizing the need for an information centre for teenagers to obtain factoids and advice regarding issues that concern them. Although such information is generally abundant and widely-available on the Internet, this column, in line with Medhospital's mission of empowerment, is a collection of reliable information that attempts to remove the element of inaccuracy that plagues many online articles. It also serves as a platform to dismiss myths and notions that teenagers may harbor with regard to certain social issues that could still be considered taboo in their immediate milieu. Finally, the column also hopes to facilitate some sort of understanding between parents and their teenage children. |
