Information that can help:
- Information about the place - weather, infection prevalence.
- Any special requirements - immunizations, doctor's statement.
- What are the health recommendations - every place has their own declared recommendations. Ask from your tourist information bureau.
- Keep emergency numbers of the place you are visiting. Ambulance, hospital, and police.
A check list:
- Take your daily medicine.
- Other medicines: painkillers, anti-inflammatories, for relief of diarrhea or constipation, travel sickness, allergies.
- First aid: Bandages, plasters, cotton, thermometer, syringes, and needles.
- Water purifier
- Sun protection lotion
- Insect repellents
- Contraception
- Have your vaccinations
- Travel and health insurance
Note:
- Meet your doctor and take all medications that could be required. The new place may not have it or have another company product.
- Often permits are required to cross borders with some drugs. Enquire from the emigration authorities and take a doctor's statement with you.
- Always travel with a little extra medicine. Sometimes you can get delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.
